Aldi and Tesco recall cereal and dip due to presence of plastic and allergy fear

Supermarkets issue food recalls due to health and safety fears. Due to it being faulty, a product is recalled because it could create damage to certain individuals. Yesterday, both Aldi and Tesco issued one food recall each.

The FSA has also advised customers on what to do if they have bought the Harvest Morn Crisp Rice cereal.

It said: “If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

The product is 375 grams in size and its best before date is November 2021.

The batch codes affected are 10470953, 10480953, and 10490953.

The Tzatziki’s pack size is 200 grams and its best before date is April 12, 2021.

Tesco advised customers to bring the product back to stores if they have an allergy to egg.

The supermarket said: “Please do not consume this product if you have an allergy to egg, return the affected product to store where a full refund will be given.

“No receipt is required.”

Both Aldi and Tesco recommended contacting their respective customer service teams for further information.
