Fakeaway meals have become increasingly popular in recent years with people recreating their favourite takeaway meals from home. Discount supermarket Aldi has expanded its Carlos range just in time for summer.

The Carlos range, which includes pizzas, sides, dip and a tasty pudding option, has been expanded to include more flavours.

Aldi has added a Cheese Feast, Double Pepperoni and Meat feast to the range.

The discount supermarket claims the pizzas to be 84 percent cheaper than the Domino’s alternative.

Carlos Takeaway Stuffed Crust Double Pepperoni Pizza, which only costs £3.29, is topped with smoky pepperoni, mini pepperoni pieces and mozzarella cheese.

What’s more, the range also includes a garlic pizza bread, tangy garlic and herb dip as well as chewy and gooey chocolate chip cookies.

The cookies, which are just £1.49 for four cookies, are made with Belgian dark chocolate pieces and are best served warm with ice cream according to Aldi.

The 99p garlic bread is topped with mozzarella, tangy tomato and punchy garlic.

Taking to social media to share their thoughts on the range, fans raved about the affordable prices.

The entire takeaway range comes in at just £12.84 for the whole menu, compared to Domino’s at over £55, according to the discount supermarket.

Other pizzas from Carlos’ range induce BBQ Meat Feast.

One fan took to the Aldi Shoppers Facebook page and explained: “I have to admit…I love the Domino’s Meteor but this basically tastes the same and is £14 cheaper. Definitely stocking up for treat nights.”

The discount supermarket also recently announced it is bringing back some of its most popular pieces of furniture for summer.

Shoppers can add a chic feel to their garden with the Rattan Effect Corner Sofa and Cover Bundle, which was an instant sell-out last time it went on sale.

The set costs £269.95 and will be available from June 27.

Aldi’s egg chair is also making a welcomed return on July 4 as well as an entire camping range, available in stores from tomorrow.
