Aldi shares an urgent food recall on chicken and baby food – salmonella warning

Food recalls let customers know if there are any issues with the food they have bought. Aldi has shared the latest warning on products including chicken and snacks for babies.

The product code is 22009 and all batches and best before dates are affected.The snack products are made for children over the age of seven months.

A statement said: “Our supplier is recalling this product due to the possible presence of milk.

“Customers with a milk allergy are advised not to eat this product.

“Customers can return this product to the nearest store, where a full refund will be given.

“We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.”

Those who have purchased the product and have an intolerance should return it to stores for a refund.

Roosters Breaded Chicken Goujons  

The chicken snack has also been recalled as the presence of salmonella was found in some batches.

The Food Standards Agency website states: “Aldi is recalling Roosters Breaded Chicken Goujons because salmonella has been detected in the product.

“Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

“Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product.

“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.”
