Food chain Popeyes operates more than 3,000 stores across the globe. To the delight of chicken fans in the UK, the first of the brand’s UK stores is expected to open later this year. The company said it will welcome customers to its first location by the end of 2021.
News of the chicken brand’s arrival to the UK will no doubt be met with fanfare by fast food lovers.
Popeyes was founded in New Orleans in 1972, and the chain is known for its chicken which is marinated for 12 hours in Louisiana seasonings.
In addition to serving up tasty meals, Popeyes arrival is also hoped to create a number of new jobs in the UK.

What will be on the menu?
At the moment, the menu Popeyes will bring to the UK is unclear, but many will be hopeful some of the brand’s popular US menu items will make it across the pond.
Popeyes is renowned for its fried chicken, and the chain’s US menu includes a range of Signature Chicken meals.
The chain also offers a range of boneless chicken meals, such as Tenders and their beloved Classic Chicken Sandwich.
In the US, a Cajun Flounder Burger is available, along with other seafood items like Cajun Crispy Shrimp and Cajun Crispy Surf and Turf.
The American menu also includes a range of delicious sides like Cajun Fries, Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy and Red Beans and Rice.
