Pizza Express already sold its classic stone based pizzas in Tesco stores, but now more delicious items have been launched by the supermarket. Customers are able to get their hands on pollo pesto pasta, flatbread, brand new desserts, and more.
“We know how popular our Homemade Favourites series was last year, which gave fans the opportunity to try their hand at recreating restaurant dishes that weren’t yet available in retail – and the response to restaurant favourites such our Pollo Pesto filled us with so much confidence that we had to adapt it for retail.”
Mr Mills added: “Similarly, Risotto con Funghi and Lasagna Classica have always gone down well in restaurants, so these are tried-and-tested flavours that we are sure will resonate with shoppers.
“Our first foray into desserts complements the new mains and side dishes, but also allows us to offer customers the opportunity to enjoy the full ‘dine out’ experience at home, together as part of one great deal.”
Pizza Express was first launched in the UK in 1965.
Since then, it has opened more than 370 restaurants across the country and sells over 30 million pizzas in UK supermarkets, including Tesco, every year.
