The movie follows senior volunteer dancers in Florida
Age is only a quantity, and but the pressures of ageing are very actual. These points are tackled head on within the new documentary “Calendar Women,” which is premiering within the World Cinema Documentary Competitors class on the 2022 Sundance Movie Pageant.
Directed by Maria Loohufvud and Love Martinsen, “Calendar Women” is described as  a “coming-of-golden-age” movie about senior volunteer dancers in Southern Florida. By means of revealing conversations and choreographed dance scenes, the movie captures the challenges of being a girl of 60 and the fragile stability of household, dwelling and dance.
In TheWrap’s unique clip from the movie (which you’ll view above), ladies share their candid ideas concerning the ageing expertise. “If you’re 18 or 28 and even 38, everybody pays consideration to you,” one girl says. “After which simply someday, it abruptly stops. And also you’re invisible.”
